Circle V Ranch Camp Cancels Sessions

Source: Circle V Ranch

As of today (7/12/17), Circle V Ranch Camp staff regret to announce that all remaining 2017 summer sessions (3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8) are cancelled due to damages from the Whittier Fire on Saturday, July 8, 2017. All fees paid will be refunded. We will not attempt to relocate camp activities this summer.

Initially, it was believed all camp buildings had been saved. However, when we were able to access camp, we discovered the Craft Shack Cabin and the Health Office Cabin were gone. The Water Treatment Facility and pipes are severely damaged requiring months of repairs to regain water flow. With no water, there can be no Circle V Ranch Camp sessions this summer.

On behalf of SVdPLA and Circle V Ranch Camp Session 2 campers, staff and volunteers, we sincerely thank the incredible efforts of first responders including the US Forest Service, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Search & Rescue and so many others who kept everyone safe throughout the early hours of the Whittier Fire on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Please continue to hold everyone in positive prayers and thoughts for continued safety and support.
