Christmas Tree Burn in Solvang

Solvang concluded its Julefest Celebration with their annual Fire Safety Demonstration and Christmas tree burn event on Friday evening.

Locals gathered on the fields of the Old Mission Santa Inés and piled their Christmas trees together with supervision by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Firefighters then lit the trees on fire, with supervision of course. 

There was live entertainment by the Soul Cats and refreshments for purchase for locals to enjoy in between selfies. 

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department strongly advises that people do not attempt to burn their own Christmas trees, but they can be disposed of properly in a green waste container.
