California Highway Patrol (CHP) cited a 16-year-old for driving 126 mph on Highway 101 in Carpinteria early Wednesday morning.

Officer Buenrostro stopped an Audi TT going southbound near the Bailard offramp around 1:40 a.m.

The 16-year-old driver was with her 16-year-old sister and only had a provisional license at the time of the traffic stop.

The driver was cited for excessive speed and disobeying the provisional license before both juveniles were released to their parents.

“Let’s just say their parents weren’t very happy,” CHP stated.

  1. CONCERNED4CA. This is you being witty/sarcastic, right? The Autobahn in Germany is much better maintained than our freeways and highways. The vehicles that drive upon the autobahn are more likely to be more precision type autos than we have here, too.
