As part of this year’s Old Spanish Days Fiesta, the community of Santa Barbara embraced its roots and generous spirit during the “Fiestas Los Niños de las Flores” Day of Service. This special day, deeply embedded within the week-long celebration, highlighted the spirit of volunteerism intertwined with cultural pride.
The Day of Service took place this week at various locations across the city. The participants engaged in several activities embodying this year’s theme of giving back to the community.
These young volunteers, referred to affectionately as the “Niños de las Flores” or “Children of the Flowers,” serve as a symbol of growth and hope for the future.
The annual Fiesta, renowned for its historical parades, vibrant dance performances, and authentic Spanish cuisine, continues to be a cornerstone event in Santa Barbara, attracting thousands of visitors and fostering a deep sense of local pride and cultural continuity.
