Upon arrival, Police, Fire and Medical personnel encountered a five-year-old child lying in the roadway and the involved vehicle still on scene. A subsequent investigation determined that the small child ran into the roadway into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The driver was unable to stop in time and struck the child.
