A child is hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in an Orcutt on Friday evening.
At 5:35 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters, a ground ambulance, and a CalStar helicopter responded to a vehicle collision in the 1500 block of Jenson Ranch Road.
Crews on scene reported a child around 10-years-old was in serious condition due to potentially critical injuries. Emergency responders treated the child before transferring them to the CalStar helicopter where they were flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, said Fire Captain Daniel Bertucelli.
The cause of the collision is under investiagation.
