Central Library South Entrance ADA Accessibility Improvements Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Installed a new accessible ramp along with a new energy efficient storefront, stairs and handrails at the Central Library South Entrance.

PROJECT BENEFITS:

The project provides an additional accessible entrance to the Central Library, including a power-assisted door and an accessible path of travel from City Parking Lot 7 to the Central Library South Entrance. Over 250 square feet of permeable pavers were installed to reduce storm water runoff. An existing date palm was relocated to the corner of Anacapa Street and Library Ave.
