Today, May 28, is National Burger Day. What a great time to celebrate by ordering from local restaurants. Whether it's ordering for pick up, delivery, or now dine-in with physical distancing, our local restaurants could use the support.
Here are a few local places to check out:
Mesa Burger is open for dine-in, takeout and delivery at their Goleta and Santa Barbara locations.

Chubbies Hamburgers on De La Vina continues to offer their classic burgers and shakes for takeout.
The Habit Burger of Santa Barbara continues to serve up its famous charburgers.

Islands Restaurants in the La Cumbre Plaza re-opened this weekend to serve up a variety of burgers from a distance.
Kyle's Kitchen offers eight different varieties of burgers as well as a veggie burger and chicken sandwich options with three locations on the south coast.
Additionally, the local burger chain has started a fundraising effort to feed special needs families impacted by COVID-19 in Goleta and Santa Barbara. Kyle's Kitchen will be donating 200 meals to special needs families, enough food to serve 1,000 people. Through their GoFundMe account, every $1 donated will be matched by the restaurant to double the impact.
All Kyle's restaurants reopen on Friday for dine-in meals.

May 28, 2020 07:57 PMSince beef production is contributing to climate change and environmental destruction faster than almost any other human activity, maybe Santabarbarians that we are, we could take this day to order a Veggie Burger, and put our money where our mouth is for the environment.

May 28, 2020 02:58 PMI love burgers too, but the "buns" in the pics ruin it for me.
They get too wet.

May 29, 2020 08:57 AMNot very traditional using brioche for the buns, but they do make a nice change of pace. That burger looks delicious and a healthy to boot. Beef, it's what's for dinner!
