Cat of the Week: Red Lobster

Hi there! My name is Red Lobster and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 2 month old old female Domestic Shorthair who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home.

I’m only two months, still learning to be
A bold little cat, brave wild and free.
But for now, I tremble, I hide, I peek
The world is loud, and I am meek.

I’m soft as a shadow, small as a sigh,
Curled in the corners where quiet things lie.
But deep in my chest, a purr wants to grow
If love moves gently, and kindness is slow.

I won’t leap to your arms or run to your call,
But I’ll follow your footsteps down the hall.
With time, I’ll blossom, I’ll play, I’ll trust
A bond like ours is built, not rushed.

So if you believe in patience and care,
In sitting with silence and simply being there,
Then maybe I’m yours and you are mine,
A quiet beginning, a love by design.

Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.

When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
