The media is invited to view the Castillo Street Concrete Slab Project on Friday, July, 21 from 10 am until 12 noon. Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs staff will be available for interviews and tours of this construction site.
The media will be able to view the new concrete slab placed above a geo-composite drain designed to direct the water beneath the surface to nearby drainage channels. The contractor for this $1.5 million project is Security Paving of Sylmar, CA. This project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
