Casa Las Palmas, a popular event venue in Santa Barbara, CA, has reopened its doors, the city’s Parks & Recreation announced on its website on October 13, 2025. The beachfront venue had been closed for renovations.

Casa Las Palmas is a Spanish-style event venue located in the Chase Palm Park. The venue can accommodate up to 65 persons.

The single-room space has vaulted wooden ceilings, intricate architectural details, a prep kitchen, and private restrooms.

The updated indoor space provides easy access to the Great Meadow, a large rolling meadow that can accommodate up to 3,000 people. The space allows event planners to extend their gatherings outdoors, making it ideal for weddings, community events, corporate functions, and festivals.

Casa Las Palmas is equipped with an on-site kitchen, which includes a commercial refrigerator, a sink, and countertops. Event planners are free to bring in catering vendors of their choice. Up to five hours of alcohol service is allowed inside the venue and outdoor patio.

The gated patio can host live bands and also doubles as a dance floor. The venue features a 75-inch smart TV for guests’ entertainment and audio-visual needs.

Guests attending events at Casa Las Palmas can find parking options nearby. These include the Garden Street and Palm Park parking lots. These paid parking lots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free public parking is also available along Cabrillo Boulevard.

Open House Event

To mark the reopening, the Parks and Recreation department will host an Open House on November 5, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 323 E. Cabrillo Boulevard.

Visitors will be able to tour the refreshed space, chat with staff, and learn more about rental options and amenities now available.

Chase Palm Park

Casa Las Palmas sits in the heart of Chase Palm Park. One of Santa Barbara’s scenic public spaces, this park stretches across both sides of Cabrillo Boulevard.

On the ocean side, the park runs adjacent to the East Beach, featuring an open grassy area. This side also includes a bike and pedestrian pathway that connects Stearns Wharf to the beach and the Sunday Arts and Crafts show.

The mountainside of the park stretches across 10 acres and features family-friendly attractions. These include a shipwreck-themed playground, a lagoon, fountains, and a stage that hosts Santa Barbara’s free summer concerts in the Park series.

Both the indoor and outdoor spaces can be rented for weddings, parties, and other events.
