Carpinteria Middle School Lockdown Lifted
Update by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office
Carpinteria Middle School campus lockdown *cleared*.
At 9:21 deputies responded for a trespasser at CMS – suspect fled prior to deputies arrival and school admin placed campus on brief lockdown. Deputies tracked the suspect to a location off campus – no further threat on campus.

What's up at Carpinteria Middle School? I heard a report about some kind of lockdown for a suspicious person on campus.

Nov 30, 2022 12:48 PMI hope so…. Every school should have protection at least something. Maybe even dads could volunteer to just sit there. Won’t do much but better than nothing:/
