Procore Technologies, a Carpinteria-based construction management software company, has appointed an industry veteran as its next CEO.
The company announced that it has named Ajei Gopal as the next CEO and a board member.
According to the company’s press release, Gopal will take over from Procore’s founder, president, and CEO, Tooey Courtemanche, after the company announces its Q3 financial results. Gopal is expected to start on November 10, 2025. Courtemanche will move from operational duties to concentrate on his role as chair of the board of directors.
Gopal brings more than 35 years of experience in global tech. Recently, he was president and CEO of Ansys, where he led the company to record growth and a $35 billion acquisition by Synopsys.
Before joining Ansys, he held senior roles at Hewlett-Packard, CA Technologies, and Symantec. He also served as an operating partner at Silver Lake, a leading private equity tech firm. In addition, he founded the startup ReefEdge Networks.
“Procore is one of the most transformative companies in the market today. Its award-winning platform and culture have cemented its status as the clear category leader, revolutionizing one of the world’s most essential yet least digitized industries,” Gopal said in a statement.
“Like Tooey, I’m passionate about empowering people to build the physical world through digital innovation and am deeply inspired by the industry’s sense of purpose and Procore’s deep customer-centricity,” he added.
Procore Technologies is a top construction tech partner, offering a single platform that improves efficiency and reduces risk through AI and data insights. The company claims to have powered more than 3 million projects in more than 150 countries.
