Broken State Street Window Caused by Fight, Police Say

On January 29, 2023, at 11:40 am, Santa Barbara Police Officers responded to a business located in the 600 block of State Street for a vandalism investigation.

During the investigation and upon reviewing nearby surveillance video, officers learned that a physical altercation occurred between two individuals a little after midnight on January 29, 2023.

During the altercation, it appears both individuals involved had fallen into a large glass window, breaking it while actively fighting.

The individuals who fled the location after the altercation are still outstanding.

Been hearing about a lot of these lately, broken window on State Street today. Unsure if it was a burglary or pure vandalism, sounds like the latter. 

This was in the 600 block, sounds like the Escape Room place across from World Market.
