A project to widen the bridge and replace railing along US Highway 101 near Buellton from south of the Nojoqui Creek Bridge to south of the Santa Rosa Road Overcrossing will continue with full overnight closures in both directions of US 101 next week.

Motorists will encounter overnight closures beginning Tuesday, June 1 through Friday morning, June 4 from 9 pm until 5 am, exiting US 101 in both directions at Avenue of Flags before returning to US 101.

Delays are not expected to exceed 10 minutes. Electronic message boards will be posted to inform everyone about this highway closure.

In addition, one lane remains closed in each direction across the Nojoqui Creek Bridge 24/7 through December 2021.

The contractor for this $5 million project is Spectrum Construction Group of Irvine, CA.  This project is expected to be complete in May of 2023.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
