Body of Diver Found in Gaviota

Rescue personnel found the body of a missing diver in Gaviota Saturday morning.

Santa Barbara County Firefighters and their water rescue team received a report of a missing lobster diver since 3:00 a.m. The water rescue team, Coast Guard, and Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit were searching the area off Highway 101 just south of Mariposa Reina. 

Around 8:00 a.m., the body of the diver was found and confirmed deceased, reports Captain Daniel Bertucelli of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
