Body Found Near La Conchita

A body found on the beach near La Conchita and Highway 101 has prompted a police investigation. 

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office identified the body as a male that was located along the rocks just south of Bates Road in Ventura County around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. It was first reported by a bicyclist in the area.

The death is being called suspicious as the Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
