Another backyard visitor that caught dinner in the Noleta area off North Patterson.
Very cool footage, thanks!!
OH! Great footage!!! I love bobcats! I am always happy to see them! YAY! We need our native predators to keep the rodent population down. Wish there were some bobcats who would venture down to State st. to feed on the rats there!
I thought that was a huge Rat . lol
Just to be clear, rabbits are not part of the Rodentia (rodents) group; they belong to the Lagomorpha order, specifically Leporidae which is characterized, among other things, as being strictly herbivores and having an extra pair of incissors. However, gophers are members of the Rodentia order.
Arlo Pro Camera, DEERPOET, thank you, and yes, more please!
Thanks for all the cool comments everyone. Stay tuned for more Backyard Visitor videos. This was taken with an Arlo Pro camera.
Flash: Carnivores aren't Vegan. To exist, they need to eat meat. I'd love to donate a yardful of gophers. They took out my tea tree and all my roses. But gophers are herbivores and eat plants to exist and I'm not willing to cement in my lot such as it be.
Thanks for posting. Cool video. Was it taken with a motion activated trail camera?
Poor bunny :(
Do you hire out this kitty? I have some gophers who want to "volunteer" themselves. And, there's a cheeky squirrel, too. Happy Meals (at least to me).
Don't ever ask me to comment about gophers, especially right after I have tripped because of a gopher hole!!! ;)
Gophers can be really cute, and I think they'd feel that they didn't deserve a death sentence, either.
But Mother Nature doesn't care too much about just desserts, so to speak.
Gophers can be really cute, and I think they'd feel that they didn't deserve a weather sentence, either.
Oh dear... when does being cheeky deserve a death sentence? Gophers I understand but squirrels??
Let's hope that was a rabbit and not someone's cat... Either way, nature taking care of itself. Nice footage!
Bobcats don't usually eat cats. Coyotes will eat cats, and mountain lions sometimes do, but Bobcats aren't known to eat cats. Besides, if you watch the video you can clearly see it is a rabbit. :)
Good job kitty! Glad you found a yummy meal.
