Cur: I agree. During college, the most memorable reading I did was Richard Hofstader’s Anti-Intellectualism in the US. Here I was, first generation Irish, second in the family to go for a college degree and i am reading this book telling me there is a movement in the US against higher education. Well, I guess ol’ Richard knew what he was talking about and we are suffering from the aftermath.
