Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested in Santa Maria

UPDATED INFORMATION – May 19, 2023

On Friday, May 19, 2023, at about 12:00 pm, the California Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Team located and arrested 35-year-old Eddie Ray Dominguez in the Arroyo Grande area. Dominguez was wanted for an outstanding warrant generated by SMPD detectives in connection to a May 6, 2023 stabbing in Santa Maria.

Dominguez was turned over to SMPD detectives investigating this case before being booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on his outstanding warrant for attempted murder.

ORIGINAL INFORMATION – May 12, 2023
On 5/6/2023 at 0215 hours, SMPD responded to a stabbing in the 200 block of E. Tunnell.  The Victim sustained several stab wounds during the incident.  

During the course of the investigation, Eddie Ray Dominguez (DOB: 8/27/1987) was identified as the suspect.  

Santa Maria Police Department Detective Bureau is asking for assistance in locating Dominguez.  He is considered dangerous.  Please do not attempt to apprehend.
