My wife and I were leaving our house at the corner of Pedregosa and Mountain Ave. at 3:30 and noticed an unknown vehicle parked nearby.
We decided to go around the block and saw that the occupants had entered our gated yard after we left. We called the Police (who were totally awesome!!) and watched to see what would happen. The two crooks from the car came out our driveway gate with nothing in hand (because everything is locked up) and went back to their car parked around the corner.
We are guessing the dogs started barking or they noticed our security cameras. They quickly left only a minute before the police arrived… so close. In any case we gave all of our info and camera photos to the police and they already knew who the crooks were from prior incidents. Hopefully this will be one piece of evidence when they are caught in the act.

They were driving a bright blue Nissan 380Z license 7YPH136. The police already know the driver and the car. Now just need to catch them in the act.
Daylight burglary in the 1900 Block of Mountain Ave around 3:30pm. Suspects 2 WMAs red hair in a newer model Nissan 370Z lite metallic blue last seen heading toward Mission street.
So they can buy a 30,000 dollar car but now they’re stealing? Hmmm. Maybe the car is stolen too?
Picked at face- meth? Hiding in plain sight in fancy car – meth? Urgent daylight burglaries- meth?
Meth-heads and NOTHING will happen. As you stated, the cops even KNOW who they are, yet the DA won’t prosecute because the “Wheels of Justice” in California are no longer turning. Thanks Jerry Brown, HannaBeth Jackson, Das Williams and the voting majority of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Nothing happens even if they were caught stealing / shoplifting or any other crime where there is no bodily injury (s) to a victim- They simply get a “citation” and notice to appear in court. The criminals won’t do any time what so ever… Our new California laws are so lax with regard to criminal prosecution that the criminals are running rampant.
