Attempted bank robbery and attempted purse snatch in Santa Maria

On May 23, 2019 at 4:48 pm a male entered the Bank of America at 300 Town Center East. The suspect demanded money, threatened employees then fled. The suspect then attempted to snatch a purse outside of B of A. The suspect was last seen on foot between B of A and Macy’s going towards Broadway. No weapon was seen.

The suspect is a Hispanic male adult in his 30’s, weary a gray/silver “puffy” jacket, gray pants, and black shoes. No known associated vehicles. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Santa Maria Police Department at 805-928-3781 or 911 in the event of an actual sighting.
