Luvaduck Dec 02, 2019 03:41 PM Armed Robbery at Bohnett Park To those who find punishing the parents as well as the underage child: I might agree with you if I hadn't grown up as I did. We were poor and I had jobs at home until I was old enough for jobs outside it (8), and my parents were on top of me making sure I never got started down the deliquency path. My hand was held in stores and I was told to be quiet; I was told to pick up anything I dropped, to open doors for adults, step aside for people carrying things--on and on. Dad worked 2 jobs, Mom had only a part-time one--other than cook, clean, make our clothes, can, mend--and still found time. Neither of them had hobbies or free time and neither did we. I agree that parenting is difficult. Birth control has been around since the 60's. For those who won't make the effort, find the time and don't have a driving interest in teaching & civilizing their kids, there is an easy alternative and no shame in passing on a 24/7 x 18 - 21 year, expensive job. It isn't for those not up to it and it is a choice.
