Aquaerobics Participants Save Woman from Drowning

By an edhat reader

Several times a week, my wife attends the aquaerobics sessions at Goleta Valley Athletic Club.

Yesterday (Wednesday, 7 September), she was in attendance, and another participant suffered a grand mal seizure.  My wife, being a nurse, quickly reacted, as did several other participants.  This group of volunteers supported the unresponsive woman in the pool to keep her face above water.

Paramedics arrived in several minutes, and the pool volunteer group helped them lift the woman out of the water and onto a stretcher where medical care was given.  She went away in the ambulance.

I do not know that was the followon.
