Jul 18, 2017 03:02 PMHow dare they name that "thing" after anything in Santa Barbara. It represents nothing here it's LA architecture with SF rent prices.

Jul 18, 2017 08:25 AMYesterday, I saw a 1 bedroom posted on Craigslist at the Marc for $3300/mo. What does someone do for a living to pay that kind of money for a 1 bedroom? Is that really considered "workforce" housing? If spending 30% of your income on housing is the standard, that equates to $132,000 annually. I can easily see a well established dual income family earning that, but families aren't looking for 1 bedroom rent-a-boxes.

Jul 18, 2017 06:28 AMThe seniors might be camping out in the cemetery next to Alta Lucero not very nice to build a nursing home next to a cemetery but that place has had so many different owners since it was built.

Jul 17, 2017 10:56 PMAhhh the Marc..the 4000 dollar a month for a square monstrosity. Too bad it wasn't the whole building. Yea that wasn't very kind but neither is charging rent like that for square. Not worth it. Wonder what they will charge the seniors next door?

Jul 18, 2017 08:41 AM...the design is an homage to the lovely international-style office building it replaced. Remarkable likeness actually, when viewed from Chuck's..

Jul 18, 2017 07:29 AMI still can't get past the cutesy-precious name. Lest we forget, it's called the "Marc" in homage to San Marcos Pass, which the developers erroneously insist is called "the Marc" by locals. God, but that's a dumb name!
