Santa Barbara County and Los Padres Forest firefighters are on the scene of another brush fire in the Cuyama Valley.
This one sparked around 1:30 p.m. Friday off Highway 166 near Kirschenmann Road.
It’s around one acre and has a moderate rate of spread located on the northern side of the Highway, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Two engines and a water tender are currently on the scene with multiple resources cleared and back in service.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.
This is the fifth fire in the Cuyama Valley within eleven days.
The Hill Fire sparked on May 28 growing to 1,383 acres followed by two smaller fires on May 30 and June 1 while the fourth fire was this past Tuesday, June 4.
