I don't think homeless near train stations and tracks is a new thing. They used to be called hobos. Watch the old movie "Emperor of the North".

Because it's their property they should be running them out and cleaning it up...Same with Cal Trans they should be cleaning these off and on ramps not just the areas the public sees...

There are hundreds of people living in the camps along the tracks. There are tons of garbage/debris in the active camps and where the camps have been abandoned. Why is this allowed? The city of SB and city of Goleta and the County that oversees Montecito and Noleta need to sue Union Pacific to clean up the mess. As long as those camps are allowed, there will be fatalities/suicides in this area. There will be panhandling at the on/off ramps. There will be medical emergencies, ODing, disease due to human feces, etc. Our area is spending millions on those allowed to live in these encampments.

I heard them say 1144 but no location I believe it's there though not many people live through getting hit by a train.
