According to scanner traffic at least five juveniles were involved in a fight. They fled the scene after reportedly leaving a man down on the ground on Sunday evening.
At 7:03 PM (June 2), SBPD, SBFD, and AMR responded to San Pascual St. on the Westside to an ongoing fight.
The reporting party stated the juveniles were headed through the park toward San Pascual St.
A male of unknown age was taken by ambulance due to his condition wearing a neck brace.
One witness said the man was just intoxicated and fell down on his own while the 911 caller stated there was a “fight” resulting in the man’s injuries.
No other details were available at the time.
I wish the SBPD PIO would chime in with more updated info.
I wish the SBPD would be more active in this neighborhood in general.
I used to live a block away on San Pascual, anything You can probably imagine happened in the years we lived there. I never let my kids unsupervised at front lawn with a lovely picket fence.
Just the short list: Stolen cars parked in my spot. Overdoses, yes, many.
Guns pointed at me for no reason. Plenty of domestics. People throwing glass bottles. although, I have to say, not too many homeless people. Stolen catalytic converter on my van, yes check! Stolen tools from shed, yes, check. Random people knocking on door, yes yes yes, check. etc. etc. etc.
