On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at approximately 3:53 a.m., officers responded to a commercial alarm at a car dealership in the 1900 block of North Broadway.
Upon arrival, officers found an open door and discovered the business had been burglarized.
A short time later, officers contacted Michael Christie, 33, of Santa Maria, in the 1700 block of North Broadway.
During the investigation, officers located evidence linking Christie to the burglary. He was arrested for burglary (459 PC) and booked into the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail.
