Due to Emergency Conditions within Santa Barbara County related to the severe storm event, The Board of Supervisors is altering their Meeting Agenda for January 9, 2018 to solely address Administrative Items as well as the Proclamation of Local Emergency related to the Storms, (D1) Appointment to the Retirement Board of the Santa Barbara County Retirement System, and (D6) Acquisition of a property for the Lower Mission Creek Flood Control Project. All other matters, including consideration of Taxation of Cannabis Related Operations will be rescheduled to a later date.
Air Drones Not Permitted and Will Stop Rescue Operations
The Coast Guard will be supplying air ships to assist with rescue efforts. Drones are NOT PERMITTED in the air. If seen, drone sightings will cause an immediate stop to the rescue operation and will place lives at risk. DO NOT fly drones.
