You can see how widespread the fire is. This will help to locate the fire.

Simi in the foreground.

Near the 23.

I wish you could fly over the Camp Fire to see if my brother-in-law's house is still standing. There's little defense against wind driven fires like these. Santa Rosa last October, Redding in the Carr Fire, now Paradise in the Camp Fire. Not even underbrush removal and timber thinning would have stopped those infernos. Sometimes Mother Nature just needs to let us know who's in charge once and awhile.

I am amazing more people are not incensed with what Trump said today - he hates California and his words showed his true colors.

A lot of us are massively incensed but this is a local news venue and political debates of a national scale are frowned on and removed. But you're right... California votes overwhelmingly against that real estate developer from Queens and he is very vindictive against those who don't kiss his ring. Ironically that area in NorCal heavily impacted by the wildfires this year tends to be more conservative than the coast and probably did vote for him.

OK white house idiot (and Congress) - put your money where your mouth is and provide more funding to the US Forest Service for fire prevention if you want to see an improvement in fire management. And to RWelsh - The reason of late for more fire and/or acres burned is due to our higher population (we start ~90% of the fires) and our drought now going into year 7. This drought is no fabrication - there have been others nearly as severe over the SB rainfall period of record of the last ~150 years.

Trump, and left/right politics is a distraction. With all these explosive fires, one might be curious enough to research aerial aerosol spraying of highly flammable nanoparticulates; ionospheric heaters controlling temperatures, breaking up precipitation and diverting normal weather patterns; or direct energy weapons being used to create winds and start fires. Being that Raytheon is right here, this comment will be shot down in a second. But do your own research. This weather... these fires... these odd cloud covers, insanely intense temperatures and the California drought is being purposefully manufactured. These are not acts of God. What can it hurt you to think outside the box and realize we are being lied to. Do your own research. Open your mind. Question everything.

And I bet RWELSH is able to buy as many guns as he wishes... though his assertion to question everything is probably the only sane thing in his post.

Seems to be little difference between open mind and open garbage can in this case.

Your story doesn't fly. I remember every Oct/Nov through the 70s watching Malibu and the Santa Monica Mountains burn as I sat in the line up in the water off Rincon Point.

Here's what Trump tweeted while the Carr Fire was burning .... "California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren’t allowing massive amounts of readily available water to be properly utilized. It is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Must also tree clear to stop fire from spreading!" ... no mention of our long-running drought.

As the fires in NorCal/SoCal continue, there may be more bodies recovered up near Paradise (lots of retirees and seniors up there). Here's what the President tweeted from his cell phone last night ...... "There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!"

The idiot in the white house reached a new low today with his response to our fires. Just stay in France and don't come back!

And now the President threatens to cut our funding because the fires are our fault for not properly taking care of our forests. He said before that we don't have enough water to put out our fires because we let all our water run into the ocean. Boy, are we the dummies!

How many companies had he driven to bankruptcy? Yeah, he's an expert on mismanagement alright.
