5-10 Acre Brush Fire in Los Olivos

Santa Barbara County firefighters are responding to a 5-10 acre brush fire in Los Olivos that sparked on Sunday evening. 

At 8:36 p.m., county fire crews and Los Padres National Forest firefighters responded with nine engines, two water tenders, one hand crew, and one dozers to 4050 West Oak Trail in Santa Ynez Valley.

They found a 5 to 10 acre vegetation fire burning at a slow rate of speed and named it the West Fire. 

Forward progress has been stopped and containment is expected within an hour.
