Chris Keet absolutely hit a home run this year.
The 2026 Rincon Classic delivered the full Rincon trifecta: epic waves, crystal-clear skies, and glassy conditions. No one knows exactly how Chris pulls this off year after year—ouija board, roll of the dice, or pure dumb luck—but whatever the formula, it worked.
More than a few people told me that this might have been the best Rincon Classic ever.
The surfers showed up and ripped.
The beach was packed.
The photographers were out in force.
The beer was cold and the burritos were piping hot.

Another unforgettable Rincon Classic. Huge thanks to everyone who made it happen—and to the ocean for showing up right on cue.

They got insane conditions this year. Couldn’t have been much better. Cool to see.
Sure man, enjoy Bakerskield. When was the last time you paddled out?
Last week. Great surf. What’s sad is your comments are always negative and take away from the topic at hand, in this case a great local event.
Sure kook
You literally litter this site with your constant crying and insulting those who the articles are about. You have absolutely no self awareness. Don’t you have better things to do in life than complain whenever someone gets arrested, injured, lost, protests, etc etc etc? Nah, we all know you don’t.
BASIC – just because your comment is “on topic” doesn’t mean it’s not childish, insulting or straight offensive. You seem to think because you insult people about whom an article is about, that because it’s “on topic” makes it ok.
You really fail at understanding anything between black and white, 0% and 100%. It’s the tell tale sign of someone who isn’t as smart as they think they are.
Great photos, as always Dave!! Love how you always capture the joy of the event and the people. Thanks for sharing!
