This year we launched, in partnership with The Veraison Fund, SBIFF’s Filmmaker Fund to help foster independent filmmakers of Santa Barbara County. We received 100 applications this year. A jury of industry professionals reviewed them and invited select submissions to pitch their projects.
The following four filmmakers have been selected to receive production grants of $10,000 each.

Joy Bronson – THE FIGHT TO FIGHT: THE BATTLE FOR GENDER EQUALITY IN THE U.S. MILITARY
Julia Kupiec – ONLY CHILD
