147 New COVID-19 Cases and 10 Deaths Wednesday

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department (PHD) reports 10 COVID-19 deaths and 147 new cases on Wednesday.

Seven individuals were over 70 years of age and three were 50-69 years of age. Seven individuals had underlying health conditions and one death was associated with an outbreak at a congregate-care site. Four people resided in Lompoc, four in Santa Maria, one in North County unincorporated, and one in Santa Barbara.

There have now been 358 deaths in the county.

Currently, there are 950 cases that are still infectious and 145 hospitalization, 35 of these in the intensive care unit (ICU). Santa Barbara County now has 27.6% ICU availability.
