And Healthcare Workers who have at some point been infected is up to 980, from 924 on Thursday, so that's at least 56 who are gone for the next two weeks, if they're lucky.

Well I know a couple of 70 somethings at Casa Dorinda, who are in robust health and got the vaccine, despite the fact that they recovered from COVID a few months ago, and probably have antibodies in their system and didn't need the shot. Happy for them, but it illustrates the fact the some people are jumping the line, and having money and friends in high places is the best way to cheat the system.

I don' t think there was anything inaccurate about my statement and I agree with what you said. I am glad that these privileged people were able to double-down on their immune response by taking a vaccine on top of antibodies already in their system, even though they were not technically in the first tier.

There should be serious criminal penalties for people who are jumping the line or assisting others by diverting vaccines intended for hugher-risk groups.

Re: Maravila residents: Assisted Services - shots OK. Independent Living - NO.
They may appear to casual visitors to be Independent, but in reality they are receiving Assisted Services such as bathing, dressing, med. taking reminders, many things.
I also thought that just Nursing Home residents were in Tier 1.

What type of contact tracing is being done at these nursing homes? Is it friend/relatives bringing it in or is it the nursing home workers? If it is the former, then WTF. It is like the same idiots who are doing large family gathering with no sense of safety. Do we shut society down because a subset of people mess up their health by eating too much fast food ad then die because they are fat? I see this as very similar - there are subset of people who do not want to comply and suffer bad consequences based on their decisions - whether it be speading CV or getting it from a speader. It is very simple - assume everyone has it unless you know for certain they don't. Not to hard to follow - but then again people also eat McDonald's cheese burgers.
