What makes a city fun? It may not always be about the bright lights, nightlife, or happening events, it’s also about how much there is to do, the ease of getting work done, and whether fun times are affordable in the city.

Recent studies from WalletHub and StorageCafe took a data-driven approach to understand the question, assessing some of the largest cities in the U.S. across several indicators, such as entertainment and recreation, dining, nightlife, and costs.

From famous party destinations to cities with strong outdoor activities, the results highlight a mix of well-known hotspots and some surprise entrants.

Here Are the 10 Most Fun Cities in the U.S.

1. Las Vegas, Nevada

While cities like Las Vegas and Miami lead the list due to their unmatched nightlife venues, others like Pittsburgh and Buffalo show that community-driven culture and affordability also define fun activities. A common thread that ties these 10 cities together is that fun in America comes in many forms.
