Opera Santa Barbara presents Il Trovatore on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 2:30 PM. Verdi’s dark historical melodrama Il Trovatore (“The troubadour”) is a story of superstition, revenge, and Ill-fated love set in medieval Spain. Containing some of Verdi’s most passionate melodies including the famous “Anvil Chorus”, Il Trovatore is the quintessential Italian romantic opera.
