Victorian Halloween at the Olivas Adobe, October 12
Explore the Olivas Adobe Historical Park on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Victorian Halloween!
This free, family-friendly event highlights the customs and traditions practiced on the Rancho during times of mourning and celebration, plus a few Halloween thrills.
Reservations are encouraged but not required. Reserve your spot in person at the park on Sundays between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Witness ghost stories come to life, a parlor séance, fortune-tellers, and interactions with an 1860s funeral director. Discover tales of haunted rooms and rumored ghosts who wander the grounds.
“This annual Halloween event combines elements of the spooky season with historical education,” said Recreation Manager Rebecca Ellis. “Our dedicated volunteers and docents plan these seasonal events to preserve local history, especially the stories of the Rancho San Miguel, which we know today as the Olivas Adobe.”
These monthly events are hosted by the Olivas Adobe Historical Interpreters (OAHI). This volunteer organization helps maintain and program the historic site in partnership with the City of Ventura.
