Veterans Day Assembly at Providence

This Thursday, Providence lower school (grades K-6) will honor our nation’s veterans at an annual Veterans Day Assembly. Students will serve attending veterans refreshments at 12:30 pm and the assembly will begin at 12:45pm in Luther Hall (3723 Modoc Road), adjacent to the Providence lower school campus.
During the assembly, students will perform a delightful medley of military service songs and will listen to a short message by Bob Ewing, a Vietnam-era Army veteran who also is grandfather to several Providence students.
The assembly will close at 1:20 pm when students present attending veterans with cards and notes of gratitude.
Immediately after the assembly, 3rd-6th grade students will walk next door to the Vista Del Monte retirement center to sing the military theme songs for the residents there.
The press is welcome to attend any part of the day’s festivities honoring veterans.
