Visual artists Joan Rosenberg-Dent and Caroline Kapp met in timely circumstances during the pandemic and formed a lasting connection by discovering uncanny similarities between their concepts, mediums, and interests.
Rosenberg-Dent, a porcelain and mixed media sculpture artist, and Kapp, an experimental photographer primarily working across two- and three-dimensional media, present a two-person summer exhibit at the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara that will feature a mix of past, present, and collaborative works that speak to the elusive qualities of time. Their work carefully considers elements of space, rhythm, form, and small components that form a larger whole, akin to the way forms interplay architecturally. Themed clusters of resonant works activate the intimate gallery space with rhythm, tension, and dynamic play.
Opening reception: Friday, May 31st 5:00-7:00 pm
