This week “Solutions News Radio” will welcome Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Ph.D.

The new weekly local radio show, “Solutions News Radio,” hosted by Rinaldo Brutoco, president and founder of the World Business Academy, will air live this Friday from 5-6 p.m. on KZSB 1290 AM radio. There will be replay broadcasts Friday from 11 p.m.– 12 a.m., Saturday from 5- 6 p.m. and again on Sunday from 9 -10 a.m. The show is also available on demand as a podcast on Apple podcasts, SoundCloud or the Solutionsnews.org website.

This week’s guest is Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Ph.D. She was raised in an American family in Hollywood, California and graduated from Stanford University. As she was completing her Ph.D., she left America in 1996 to live permanently at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India. In 2000, she was officially initiated into the order of Sanyas (monastic renunciation) by her Guru, His Holiness Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji.

She serves as Secretary- General of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, an international interfaith organization dedicated to clean water, sanitation and hygiene( WASH); President of Divine Shakti Foundation, a foundation which runs free schools, vocational training programs and empowerment programs and Director of the world-famous International Yoga Festival at Parmarth which has been covered in Time Magazine, CNN, New York Times and other prestigious publications. She is also Vice-Chair of the United Nations’ Advisory Council on Religion, and on the Steering Committees of the international Partnership for Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD) and the World Bank’s Moral Imperative to End Extreme Poverty.

Saraswati is also a renowned speaker who is known for being a spiritual bridge between the East and West cultures. She has spoken at several United Nations events and received numerous awards for her leadership role in India. She has a Ph.D. in Psychology and was the Managing Editor for the monumental project of the 11-volume Encyclopedia of Hinduism. Tune in Friday to learn more!
