This week “Solutions News Radio” will welcome David Kerr, MD FRCPE

The new weekly local radio show, “Solutions News Radio,” hosted by Rinaldo Brutoco, president and founder of the World Business Academy, will air live this Friday from 5-6 p.m. on KZSB 1290 AM radio. There will be replay broadcasts Friday from 11 p.m.– 12 a.m., Saturday from 5- 6 p.m. and again on Sunday from 9 -10 a.m. The show is also available on demand as a podcast on Apple podcasts, SoundCloud or the Solutionsnews.org website.

This week’s guest is David Kerr, MD FRCPE, a UK trained physician and endocrinologist. He has spent many years helping people with diabetes. This is his third time living in the US as he was a researcher at Yale in the 1990s, and then an Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology in 2010. He graduated from Aberdeen University in Scotland and has spent most of his career as a full-time clinician and the rest of his time educating the English on best practices for the effective management of diabetes.

Kerr is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and has held a Gold Clinical Excellence Award from the National Health Service in the UK. In 2014, Kerr joined the Center in Santa Barbara to help develop the idea of “breaking the code”- taking what is already available and what is being developed and modifying and creating technology to benefit the maximum number of people with diabetes for the longest period of time and with the minimum disruption to their lives.
