On Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 4 pm, the Santa Ynez Valley Concert series will present its third Young Artist Showcase at St Mark’s in the Valley Church. This free concert will feature deserving students, 21 and under, from Santa Barbara County private teaching studios, recommended by their respective teachers for this special honor.
Artistic Director, Robert Cassidy, said, “Music Education is at the forefront of the mission of the Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series. Due to increasing popularity, this season we are presenting both Fall and Spring Young Artist Showcases featuring solo performances. This is a wonderful event for the whole family. Music is alive and living in Santa Barbara County!”
St. Mark’s is located at 2901 Nojoqui Avenue, a block from the flagpole in the center of Los Olivos. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. No tickets are required.
The private teachers that nominated students for this special event are: Vahid and Kathryn Imani from Song in My Heart Studios in Solvang; Deborah Mele from Santa Barbara; Julie Davis from Santa Barbara, Emily Lanzone, from San Luis Obispo, Pascal Solomon from Santa Barbara, and Robert Cassidy.
St. Mark’s in-the-Valley provides an intimate concert experience with seating for just over 100.
St. Mark’s is pleased to offer the SYV Concert Series as a community arts enrichment program. All are invited to come and enjoy these non-sectarian, non-religious concerts. Students are always FREE.
