The Art Foundation of Santa Barbara Presents “An Artful Affair at Riven Rock” Sunday, October 20, 2024
The Art Foundation of Santa Barbara is delighted to invite you to their 3rd Annual Artful Affair at Riven Rock, 801 Riven Rock Road, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Trustee and President Frank McGinity has generously opened his home and gardens for this special occasion featuring 13 local artists showcasing their works for sale on his historic property.
Located in the gardens of the Theatre House, one of only three original structures remaining on the McCormick Riven Rock Estate, Mr. McGinity’s home will serve as a stunning backdrop for this much-anticipated event.
We are thrilled to feature Ralph Waterhouse, Wyllis Heaton, Ray Hunter, Kevin Gleason, Rick Garcia, Nina Warner, Rick Delanty, Craig Nelson, Ann Sanders, Annie Hoffman, Andrea Anderson, Chloe Hourdequin, and Danuta Bennett. A highlight of the afternoon will be live “quick draws” by both Ralph Waterhouse and Wyllis Heaton, followed by a live auction of the piece at 4:30 p.m.
Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and wines catered by the Santa Barbara Club.
This event offers a unique opportunity to meet and engage with the artists, learn more about their work, and directly support local California talent.
The Art Foundation of Santa Barbara:
- Offers programs and tours to educate the public on the heritage of California art and the artists who created these works.
- Inspires local artists to enlarge upon that heritage by providing special events to showcase their works giving the public the opportunities to meet and talk with the artists, learn about their work and support contemporary California artists.
- Inspires a new generation of California budding artists by igniting their passion for the arts today and keeping it alive for tomorrow through invitations to our events and workshops with local artists free of charge.
- Holds a significant collection of such works of art and exhibits its collection at the Santa Barbara Club, open once a year to educational institutions, various public groups, and other civic organizations.
