State of the Community 2018

The Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce will host their Annual State of the Community Luncheon Friday, May 18 th at Rincon Beach Club, 11:30AM-1:30PM. Guest speakers include, Peter Rupert, Ph.D, City of Carpinteria Mayor Fred Shaw, and 1 st District Supervisor Das Williams.

Peter Rupert Ph.D., Executive Director of UCSB Economic Forecast Project will present an Economic Update, Disaster Impacts and Recovery, Local Real Estate Market, Local Retail and Tourism. City of Carpinteria Mayor Fred Shaw will provide an update on legislative matters being considered by the City Council including a Sales Tax Measure, Cannabis Regulations, the next phase of 101 improvements, and efforts to restore beaches and assist in the recovery of tourism and other sectors of the business community.

1st District Supervisor Das Williams, County of Santa Barbara will speak about the Counties Budget, Libraries, and Mental Health Services.
