The Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series (SYV Concerts) announces the final concert of their 2025-2026 season.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 4pm, the sensational piano four-hand Duo Giacopuzzi will perform. Jacopo and Maddalena, brother and sister, will present a program featuring works by: Dvořák, Borodin, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Liszt, and Say.
Artistic Director Robert Cassidy shared, “SYV Concerts is delighted to present the sparkling Duo Giacopuzzi in recital! These are piano virtuosi of the highest order who will no doubt knock the socks off the audience with their transcendent mastery of the instrument. While Jacopo is a local favorite, Maddalena is traveling all the way from Italy to perform for us. Grazie Mille!”
The Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series exists to present extraordinary classical musicians in live performances to inspire, educate, and enrich the lives of people in the communities of Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos, Lompoc, Santa Maria, and Santa Barbara. Background
The Concert Series was founded in 1981 by Dunn School Music Teacher Rose Knoles as the Schoolhouse Music Series to elevate the cultural offerings for students and the community by bringing excellent classical musicians to provide an afternoon performance and lecture to Dunn students and an evening concert for the Santa Ynez Valley community (the schoolhouse could fit only 25 people). The goal was to enrich the lives of both students and the wider community. When Rose Knoles retired from Dunn and became the Music Director at St. Mark’s, her Concert Series was welcomed under the non-profit umbrella of St. Mark’s Church as a community arts outreach program.
Most recently, SYVConcerts presented the legendary Takács Quartet to a sold-out house, and then featured the phenomenal tenor, Giorgi Guliashvili, with esteemed pianist, Carrie-Ann Matheson, in recital.
