An event will be held via Zoom on January 25th, 2021 that is open to the entire community to learn about the volunteer programs of local non-profit, Community Partners in Caring. Covid has brought challenges to the entire community, especially seniors. Our seniors are homebound without much access to the outside world. Community Partners in Caring offers services to seniors and helps bridge the gap between the outside community and their homes.
Community Partners in Caring continues to serve the elderly community throughout Santa Barbara County. Seniors that are 62+ are presented with access to basic needs such as free food drop offs from the Food Bank, which ensures their safety. Also, grocery delivery, prescription delivery and reassurance phone calls to remind seniors of available assistance or enlist them in needed support services and also to remind them that there is a community that cares for them. There are countless opportunities for community members to get involved through our program to help homebound seniors.
At the event, attendees will enjoy some games, as well as meet other community members while learning about our program, the support volunteers receive, and the impact they can have in a senior’s life. Anyone is welcome to join this free event, and are encouraged to invite friends and family as well. The link to join is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85822008762?pwd=VXoyTXNjQ2tGVHZadHdhZExxVjcvdz09
