Santa Barbara embraces its third year of Transgender Day Of Visibility with an event that will richen your awareness and set your heart on fire. The “Hearts On Fire Fashion Show” celebrates gender diversity in our community by showcasing talented local performers coming together to provide a valuable message through song, dance, and a dazzling array of fashion.

This special event brings our transgender community together to showcase a dazzling array of local fashion as well as powerful words of awareness.

Local Transgender Hero and 2017 Queen of Pride Deja Rea will be hosting this magical event. Santa Barbara’s award-winning best DJ Darla Bea will be delivering the finest tunes.
Local boutiques such as Sirena, Loveworn, Indian Summers, Love Bird, and Mission Tuxedos will be presenting their finest appeal.
Be the first to see Los Angeles designers Angelina Versage and Moiises Aguirre glamorous and elegant spring gowns that are made for the Hollywood runway.
Ian Harvie a transgender Comedian/Actor best known from his appearance on the television show Transparent will be sharing his personal story of being a transman in today’s society.
Our beautiful Transgender community as well as local artist, costumers, fashion designers, makeup artist, local business owners, models, speakers, photographers, and technicians donate their time to make this event a success.

Transgender Day of Visibility is celebrated in March all around the world. It was founded by Michigan Transgender Activist Rachel Crandall in 2009 to celebrate transgender people with an advance awareness of their lives and contributions.

The Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network educates organizations on best practices for transgender and gender-expansive clients, patients, students, congregants, and families; creates and develops spaces, actions, and policies that advance the welfare of transgender and diverse gender non-conforming individuals, their families, and allies in California’s central coast communities.
