Santa Barbara Elks Lodge to host 4th of July Family Fun Day

Santa Barbara Elks Lodge #613 Invites Public to Annual July 4th Family Fun Day Celebration – Proceeds to Benefit Local Children with Disabilities
The Santa Barbara Elks Lodge #613 will host their annual 4th of July Celebration at 150 N. Kellogg Avenue, Santa Barbara, CA, on July 4th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The patriotic event is open to the public, entrance is free, and over 5,000 residents are expected to attend.
This year’s 4th of July Fun Fair is held in conjunction with thousand’s of Elk’s Lodges around the United States, in honor of our Nation’s Independence Day.
Funds raised at the Santa Barbara event will benefit local children with disabilities.
Our slogan: give a coin a day so they can walk, talk, see and play. Ninety-four cents of every dollar raised goes directly to services for disabled children, bringing physical, occupational, vision and speech therapy directly to their homes.
This year’s July 4th Family Fun Day will offer something for everyone. Face Painting, a Jumping Box, and numerous games will be offered for the children, along with Bingo games and music for adults. Plenty of prizes await the lucky winners. A silent and live auction, with a large variety of items, will be offered throughout the day, and our Raffle drawing will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Grove, with payouts totaling $3,000. Baked goods, hamburgers, hot dogs, and barbecued chicken will be sold for a nominal fee between 11:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Boy Scout Troops 4 and 37, chartered by the SB Elks Lodge, will also be earning hours towards their merit badges by volunteering at the 4th of July Family Fun Fair, assisting in the children’s games and helping maintain the SB Elks Lodge grounds throughout the day.
Local Grammar School students will be able to participate in a contest held just for their school’s Parent Teacher’s Association (PTA). The school’s PTA with the most students attending this year’s 4th of July Fun Day will be awarded $500 to supplement their costs throughout the school year.
